As many as five hundred new jobs are expected to be announced for west Donegal today by Randox Teo as part of a multi-million euro investment.
Randox currently employs 70 people at its life-science/ engineering and manufacturing centre in Dungloe with the company stating that the workforce will multiply several fold in the coming years.
Details of the plans will be unveiled at lunchtime in a move the company says will be a major boost to the North West economy.
Established in 2008 with the support of Udarus na Gaeltachta, Randox Teoranta is part of the global diagnostics group Randox Laboratories with its headquarters based in Antrim.
The company says it will engage with key diaspora networks as the scale of the plans require Randox Teo to draw from a wide talent pool including those who may have emigrated to pursue life-science or engineering careers.
