Cé Phort a’Chruinn

Chur Comhairle Contae Dhún na nGall tús leis an obair dheisiúcháin ar ché Phort a’Chruinn ar Oileán Ghabhla ar maidin inniú.

Chur an Roinn Ealíon, Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta deontas do 90 míle euro ar fáil le obair dheisiúcháin a dhéanamh ar an struchtúr atá ansin faoi láthair, ath-thogáil a dhéanamh ar bhun na cé agus dromhchla úr a chur ar an ché agus rinne an Chomhairle Contae co-mhaoiniú do 30 mile euro ar an togra.

Beidh dhá sholas a chur suas ar an ché mar pháirt don togra chomh maith.

Fáiltíonn Coiste Forbartha Ghabhla roimhe an togra seo agus cé gur fada iarratas déanta ag an choiste ar obair dheisiúcháin ar ché seo, tá an coiste iontach buíoch don Aire Stáit Dinny Mac Fhionnlaoich T.D., an Roinn Ealíon, Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta. an Comhairle Contae agus Comharchumann na nOileán Beag a rinne comh-ordnú agus riarachán ar an iarratas ón tús.

Port a Chruinn Pier

Work has commenced this morning on repairt to Port a Chruinn Pier on Gola Island

An Roinn Ealion, Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta confirmed a grant of 90,000 euro towards repairs to the existing structure, including re-building the end of the pier and providing overlay of the existing deck.

Two lights will also be erected on the pier as part of the project.

Donegal County Council is providing 30,000 euro to the project.

The pier is seen as a strategic landing point for the southern side of Gola Island. Work on the project will be completed by the end of the year.
